Great Run at Paducah
Walston was back in action at PIR on May 9th. The night did not start
off very well as an electrical problem shut down the 56 machine during the
heat race. This put Jeff at the tail of the field for the feature. From
the drop of the Green, the Runion powered Mastersbuilt was picking off
competitors in almost every turn. The setup was outstanding and Walston
could over take positions down low or on the outside cushion. As the laps
clicked off, the 56 car got closer to the front. However, when the
checkered flag flew Jeff found himself in sixth place. He was pretty happy
with the cars performance. Walston thought he would have had something for
the leaders had he started closer to the front and not used up his tires
coming from the back.
Jeff and the entire 56 team would like to pass along their condolences
